I don't mind these time skips. Probably cause we've already had over 400+ chapters but these are also handled VERY well as opposed to other series when they do time skips...shame it feels like the series is coming to an end but it's definitely been a loooong and great ride.

Hope we at least see Shi'an and Xiaoxiao's relationship progress even more in the next chapters :salute:

guys, I think we lost Winter Melon. I went back to check and the last time he shows up is in chapter 408 when they’re starting primary/elementary school or whatever is the Korean equivalent. Now they’re young adults, so it’s safe to say it’s been around a decade since we last saw him. RIP

Whaaat another timeskip?? Please don't very soon just a few more chapters 🥹
It feels like we're getting to the end.... Just when I was getting better and better
This chapter adapts Epilogue Chapter 16-17 of the novel. There are 47 total epilogue chapters and 1 afterwards and 1 promo chapter.

Not-the TL-TL/N: Uncle Zhao's passing was described as "not at a farewell pavilion or on a lonely road". (Original: 没有长亭外古道边) This is actually a reference to the lyrics from the song Farewell 送别 by the famous musician/monk/artist Great Master Hong Yi 弘一法师. (Here's the English wiki article section on the song: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dreaming_of_Home_and_Mother#Songbie_in_Chinese)

I find it difficult to translate the line as well, so I'll try to paint the picture the reference is supposed to portray. 长亭 (translated by Paragon as Farewell Pavilion) is basically an ancient rest & recuperation station. It is a pavilion/building located along mountain passes or whatever you call those path structures attached to cliff faces for travellers to rest. Naturally, they're commonly located in the middle of crossroads or diverging paths, therefore 长亭外 (outside such pavilions) is a common location for farewells and separations before each person continues on their journey. 古道边 is much simpler, it simply means "by the old alley", which is also a stereotypical location where one might bid another farewell due to the secluded and private environment. In other words, Uncle Zhao's passing being "not outside the rest stop nor by the old alley" means that the passing wasn't a solemn and sad separation session filled with grief and longing, but simply another serene morning.

I just hope that there aren't so many time skips that we have to see the MC couple pass away from old age, I don't think my heart could take it :meguuusad:
