I've been putting this off, purely on the grounds that there is so much of it, and the chapters are not short. But I've started and I'm up to Chapter 77, and I do like it for plot and pacing, but characters are a bit off. I wouldn't call him a scumbag like others have, but he is pushing the boundary with his gaslighting and abuse. You may think better of him if you fall for his delusion that he has to deceive her because of the holes in her humanity and he is trying to bypass a three year wait for her to be ready to handle this. But basically, he is impatient and doesn't want to wait for her to be worldly wise enough to accept him, so is forcing her. While she is just a bit 2D and boring and is only ever interesting when she is given cat ears. Other than that, it is well thought out and has a deep tonal pallet, ranging from light and fluffy to deep and dark. It is going to take me a while to get up to date, but I think I'll stick with it.

This is a weird one im at chapter 100 and basically nothing happens.
It starts interesting with a girl from imperial China but it could easily be a girl from rural china or far away .

Nothing in the plot relates to that imperial china in any detail or takes advantage of the possibilities of that plot.

MC is a lame lazy dude that at first seems to want to help her but changes into a scumbag that want to keep her dependent of him so she cant leave and fall in love with him.
The most loser , lazy and scumy possible way to get a girlfriend.

I'll push it a bit more but so far i woulnd't reccomend it
