But it looks like the jig is up for our Outlaws, having been sussed out by the Sheriff... :notlikethis:

Mamamori is too good. That was a sweet panel of him cleaning goon #1.

Boy...that was an unsettling end. I would usually feel happy at progress but this is WRONG! T_T
Honestly, I think it was necessary. Especially with the line of "She might even start to avoid us if we're not as good of friends as we think." It was played for a joke with the listening device but hints at their (her's specifically) insecurity. Oogami is really stoic and doesn't express emotions well (even less than many eastern countries are known for) so while they think they're all really close friends, they (again, she) is afraid that Oogami doesn't see them as the close friends they see her as and if they do something to ruin the current dynamic (i.e., prying) then she'll stop being their friend.

So this, while tense, is necessary for them to affirm their friendship dynamic and hopefully more Oogami growth with being more open about her feelings.

Now that the author has his own kid I hope he writes Oogami and Makiba being married and having a kid of their own eventually.

How can this be the best seat when Oogami is nowhere to be seen?
I'm begging and pleading on my knees.

Author-san! WRITE THE MARRIED PARENT LIFE OF OOGAMI AND MAKIBA AND MY LIFE IS YOURS!

I've literally been in that situation, It's comfy at first but then it's suddenly easier for one of both to elbow you in the ribs. That's right friends, it's a trap. Mamori dodged a bullet.

As for them being busted, I see this going one of two ways. Either Oogami finally admits it to them in the hopes they'll be cool about it and maybe even try to assist (presumably wackiness will ensue) Or she outright denies everything just in time for Makiba to hear it and take 200 points of emotional damage, especially after the pinky swear. Though there's probably an Option C but I'm expecting it to be trouble since things have been going too smoothly lately.
