This is actually one of the first manga Ive read in a while where the girl is actually good at cooking lol. Maybe its just the ones Ive been reading but in like Musuko ga Kawaiikute Hahaoya the female lead was hopeless in the kitchen without her husband's help (although a plot arc was her learning).

Lord knows she's trying, friends. The problem here is that, unlike the typical case, Makiba isn't a dense protagonist.
