Finally some action! Thanks to Kaarme for providing a link to my previous comment for those who may like a quick overview of the plot. As for this chapter, some interesting things:
-Wow, Benefost (AKA "Bikini Armor Chief") was an excellent strategist here. Since last chapter also told us that she's loyal to the Head of House Elfodras, those two other traitorous chiefs should beware her fury when she finds out about their plans (because, let's be honest, it's going to happen sooner or later).
-As for the Head herself, Reie is still full of misconceptions about Fonclanc. In the last chapter, she refused to bring her powerless slave to Fonclanc because she feared things would go badly for him, given the tensions with Gazetta and the rumors about Fonclanc being "particular about social standing". Now she's discovering that, despite being a Divine Artist-ruled country, Fonclanc may be a better place for the powerless than her homeland of Trentrietta.
-I must commend the kings here. The king of Trentrietta has even a traitorous advisor in his court, yet he still makes sensible decisions. As for the king of Fonclanc, I liked the small lampshade on court politics: while the Dark God Squad is the kingdom's "I win" trump card, other people need a chance to shine too. So Yuusuke goes to the port town and Hivodir will go directly to Trentrietta. Let's not forget that both Yuusuke and Hivodir are officially considered candidates to marry the princess, and showing too much favor to one may be bad. Kreivol also lampshades another worry: Violet has never minced words about her own father, and everyone knows that the Dark God Squad is her pet project, so if she (or a faction favoring her) opposed the king, she could actually win...
