You know this story and another manga Otogi Matsuri have slight similarities, not in plot but in their naming of things like how the MCs names are both Suraga though in World Em. it is more of a nickname and in Otogi Matsuri it is his last/surname. Also in both the weapons they use to fight are called Jingi and their weilders are both called Jingi Users though while there are a handful of Jingi user in World Embryo there are only four(MC included) in Otogi Matsuri

For anyone who's gonna read this, if you're in the middle of around 50 - 70 chap and you think that it's going down hill, you should prob drop it,not worth the time or/and the emotional investment reading through until the end.

In the end tho I'm not your father or mother,so do what the fck you want.

I wish the epilogue was better laid out, however, I enjoyed reading this manga.

8/10 for me personally overall, even if the story is about a 6.8/10 - overall it fun to read to the end.

The first half was amazing. Well paced, good character development, good and connected plot. Second half was a shit show. The plot went everywhere and it kept altering to fit the current predicament and the character development staggered. It being rushed didnt help either. All in all I enjoyed it, had fun reading it. 8/10 definitly worthwhile.

I remember reading this a long time ago.

And i put 1/10 for the review.

Mostly because like @Ggrrummpy said, the beginning is really good, then it become absolutely awful.

At leadt make it trash since the beginning, so we don't loose time .

The first 8 volumes were amazing.

Then it fizzled out somewhat, but still managed to be quite a lot better than most of the stuff we get nowadays.

As far as I understand, the earth is full of kanshu, embryo migrated there, the girls have the ability to retrieve, release the memories of the embryo residents & turn kanshu <=> human, right ?

I remember reading the first volume scanlation of this after it's first volume was released on March of 2006, and being super impressed with the art and story by Moriyama Daisuke, but then the scanlators started using magazine scans and I dropped it. Going through my amazon.co.jp cart this year, I noticed I had the first several volumes on there, but never ordered them because of my budget in 2008 in addition to my lack of confidence in reading and understanding a seinen manga without furigana.

Finally reading this story from beginning to end, I would've never thought the plot would progress in this fashion using '嘘' as its theme. It's been so long since I read Chrno Crusade, or reread the one-shots I translated by Moriyama Daisuke (Koko ni Iru Suiren, Alice in Cyberland), so I don't know if I enjoyed World Embryo's characters more than Moriyama's previous works. But it's a real shame that only magazine scans exist in English; the quality was all over the place, and the last two chapters are fairly bad. It's fortunate the entire series is available on bookwalker (JP).
