I kinda got tired of Crows, and most of the rest of the setting, because it all seemed so meaningless, a bunch of high school kids having repetitive non-fantasy shounen power battles with no weight behind them. Skilled art and writing, but it just felt lacking in depth.
But this series gives the characters purpose, goals, meaning. What was lacking is finally here, and coupled with a talented artist and a now more experienced writer, it's damn good.
