@gaigous I would accept too, especially if I'm not mistaken he's still being hunted down by the previous country he fled from and the princess could give some protection. My guess though is that it'll be independence for why he doesn't accept being tied down as you said. He'll probably find some sort of lead or he'll impress the ninjas/assassins/whoever or whatever they are and they'll give him some sort of lead about how or why he was summoned and thus spurs him going off on an adventure to figure that out.

@gaigous Thing is, I think she still will try keep him in country physically. Unless she has enough foresight to see how there's no way possible of doing it, which I honestly don't think she does, then I think she's bound to try which will be met by refusal. But at this point we're both essentially just giving guesses as to what we think will happen next.

@kamelpov Well, actually... Britonnia in warhammer battle is inspired by the britons... Who are the english, not the french. Their units are even clearly inspired by the tale of king arthur, what with it being the name of their king, as well as other references like the lady of the lake or the knights of the graal...
Also, historically, according to battle records at least, the english beat the french quite a number of times as far as heavy cavalry goes.
And I'm saying all that despite being french myself.

@yarielist They're assassins in an enclosed space with lots of furniture, it wouldn't take much to give the MC a fatal wound(poison is very likely), there is a very high probability of them killing each other in that scenario though. Also, he's the MC, so plot armor is a thing, yeah, but when his capability is so great it becomes plot armor you have a mary sue, so I'd be careful what you wish for there.

@Doenyon - Bretonnia is based on the Bretons of Brittany, France. Originally they were Celts from the island of Britain who fled the Anglo-Saxon invasion by migrating to the mainland. The ties to King Arthur come from them being Celts, since Arthur is a Welsh/Breton legend, that arose in opposition to the Anglo-Saxons. Therefore they, and by extension the Bretons of Warhammer, are very definitively not English. And while I believe the Breton form of the Brythonic Celtic language is still spoken in Brittany, even before Brittany became part of France French was more commonly spoken there. Also, the Bretonnia town names in Warhammer are French.
