This time the chapter came out pretty fast, thanks for the translation. Also we finally got the interaction between Bai Ji and Ji Yue. Everyone but the Gulans are now with the Blood Spirits/vampires. And the fact that seems like Tina was the one who illustrated or actually made the yuri books that Yana likes? But now seems like the palace will be rebuilt using Bai Ji's card, well... either the palace or the whole city.

This Chapter adapts Volume 12 Chapter
17-18 of the Web Novel, Everything is the exact same so far nothing has been change except additional dialogues or longer convo with characters feeling actions and inner thoughts in the Novel, only things that wasn’t shown is that Ji Yue is starting to feel something in Bai Ji remember her as the Once Older Brother/Sister she knew long ago looking after their little sister with care. So basically they reconciled nicely between the 2 and also at the scene where they departed Bai Ji was invited her to join them and Ji Yue was having 2nd thoughts on whether to go or not but she decided not to and gives the same exact reasons as she said in the Novel which will come in handy in the future , also what Bai Ji told Ji Yue definetely gave her more life and feeling to continue moving on wi the the fact Lililana is technically a part of Bai Ming. Yana & Tina did get smacked by Bai Ji in the Novel same way Bonk soumd for arguing about if it is a boy or girl. And Yes Bai Ji tried ressurect Lilias not realizing that she is still alive, she kept the coffin which I might have accidentally spoiled last week chapter comment by saying that Bai Ji asked for Lilias coffin so apologies for that I’m sorry for the accidental spoiler.

P.S. Manhua skipped the part where during the travels everyone is wondering why Bai ji is going back to their homeland when it was destroyed and consume by absolute darkness but then Bai Ji revealed that She going to recreate it or the continent itself starting with here, she had Milou fly around to start the construction of the world

She is planning to recreate everything again the entire World or Barland the Vampire home and stuff while also going to fight all the 9 gods/devourers starting with the Sin Lord as mention so Endgame is really near Sin Lord Octopus Cthulhu is not the final boss this is an avenger endgame stuff where Bai Ji & Everyone excluding Ji Yue will fight Sin Lord and save Barland

But in the beginning of the Manhua they seemed to have been treated as being separate (despite the novel treating them as the same character)

Deep down they are kind of the same afterall, only differences is Ji Bai is a personality that existed before the First embrace and Bai Ji was what came after with being taught the ethics and ways of Vampire/Blood Spirit royalty customs that she taught Liliana in the previous arc. Which we will see even more if they adapt the side stories. Other than that yea I am happy they finally reconcile after almost 300 chapters
Unfortunately I don’t think anybody else beside Chestnut, Lilias, Blood spirit’s members, Ji Yue & the higherups of gulan/humans will ever know of Ji Bai & Bai Ji being the same person

I wouldn’t say he died necessarily since it feels as though he just kinda melded with Bai Ji to some degree

Or at least that’s my current running interpretation since it’s a bit weird but based on some of Bai Ji’s actions and the castle I think it might have been hinted since he says something along the lines of “you never abandoned me”

Then again that could also be due to the fact that Ji Bai is the base for Bai Ji when she was “created” essentially

IIRC, novel MC had the difference only as a persona.

Like Batman and Bruce Wayne. Or how a actor plays a role. MC being treated as two separate fully formed personalities was definitely Manhua change.

They didn’t change anything she did fake her death even in the Novel when I recheck, She was with Lilith in the Novel just as the Manhua, I originally thought she died but after they show her being alive I went to check to confirm and she was indeed alive in the novel as well

it's nice to see how ji bai/bai ji and ji yue/the gulan emperor have sort have fused with their other personality and were able to reconcile with eachother as I was dissapointed when it seemed that one had essentially killed the other.

and the other vampire that died(forgot her name sadly) i was tiny upset that she got murked.
