Reminder: Lin is half elf if you recall or remember and in the flashback of Chestnut she possessed Chestnut’s Other Daughter and manipulate her into poisoning Lilias and making that possessed child the New Ruler. As Long as Elf blood runs through someone then that person can be possessed by Twilight Star. Chestnut’s Husband being secretly an Elf than a vampire
I remember that Lin is half elf, but I was talking about the fact that Twilight Star shape-shifted into Tina, who is a vampire and not a half vampire half elf like Lin

I remember that part, the mistake that Chestnut made was marry the elf husband that she was unaware then Twilight star force her to poison Lilias. Chestnut got caught and then her younger daughter died then she and Lin left their home and never return since.

Yea Sorry for misinterpreting it earlier 🙏 I realize it right after sending the message that You weren’t talking about the Lin thing
As for the shapeshift ability I just remember something, I think it is the same factor as what that one elf girl did to Ji Bai, if you remember when Ji Bai first return to the Moon Knight after ascending to the throne as Bai Ji the Queen of the Blood Spirit Empire, The Blue Hair elf that he saved from Ji Yue and also helping him when he was Bai Jin was pretending to be Kerr and threatening to hurt Kerr if Ji Bai doesn’t cooperate with them

Yes that exactly what happened not to mention this was also the initial reason that cause Lin relationshop with her mother to change hating Chestnut for failing to save her sister

Reading the comments made me wonder if Chestnut is the Chinese name, because I thought it was similar to Bai Ji (Becky) or Ji Bai (White) in the official English version, I thought it was Lilith

I don't speak chinese, and I also don't remember how it's written in the RAWs, but I think that "Chestnut" is a nickname she gave herself based on her real name.
I think her real name is Lilith? If so, it would be something like this 莉莉丝? And if we Remove a 莉 from it it becomes 莉丝 (Lì sī), which is close (idk if it really is since I don't speak chinese) to 栗子 (Lìzǐ) which translates to Chestnut in english.
That's what I think the logic behind that name is.
Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, cuz I also don't know.
Edit: I just checked when the name "Chestnut" is mentioned in the raw, and it is 栗子. So it is a nickname she gave herself based on her real name, Lilith, that's why she tells everyone to call her that, with "Chestnut" being the literal translation of meaning in english, instead of how you would pronounce it in chinese.

Whenever I read the Novel MTL Translation, they always put Chestnut name as either Chestnut or Lizi, and I remember in the Chestnut flashback. People kept calling her Lizi instead of Chestnut like Lilias. So I just assumed her real name was Lizi cause it similar to Lilias. But this informations you just gave help me understand more about the name thank you very much I have to check it out
Edit: Reread the chapter nvm, the name was indeed Lilith. I guess it was only mtl or google translation versions that put out Lizi over Chestnut
Edit2: Translation of the previous Translator has made alot of mistakes so Lilith was the result of it beside gender confusion during Chapter 333-334(Chestnut’s Flashback)

I checked the RAW of chapter 333 and this is how her name is written there 莉莉子 (Lìlì zǐ) so yeah, It's even closer to 栗子 (Lìzǐ) than I thought it was originally.
Edit: Since you mentioned Lilias, this is how her name is written in the RAWs 莉莉娅丝 (Lìlì yà sī).

I checked the RAW of chapter 55, where her name is written as 莉莉子・拉萨姆博 (Lílizi Rasambo / Lìlì zǐ Lāsà mǔ bó), and later as 栗子 (Chestnut / Lìzǐ), so Lilith was probably just a translation mistake. I also noticed the surname seems to be wrong too: 拉萨姆博 would be "Rasambo" or "Lasambo", not “Lasombra” like it has been translated until now. I think it’s similar to Bai Ming’s case with 圣伦 (Shènglún), since that can be translated as either “Saint Lun” or “Sheng Lun.”

Make even more sense now consider Lilias & Lizi, also with the knowledge I have just been given, made me curious about one of the side story since in that side story their was a mention of someone name Lilith I oroginally thought that it was a mistranslation of Lilias but maybe I might have to check again

I have always been confused with the vampire royal family names, between Rasambo/Lasambo/Lasombra/Other versions from other sources. Thank you very much for finally confirming what is actually suppose to be the correct spelling of the Blood spirit Royal Family name
