There are going to be a few chapters in the most recent stretch where CLAMP uses their classic “let’s talk about this, and all the characters understand, but speak vaguely enough so we don’t let the reader know til the ball drops”.

i frequently have to read several chapters ahead and then come back just to have enough context to not accidentally translate myself into a corner
