What a stupid mom/person.
"I just don't see why you should do XXX when there are people who are against it"
Oh what's that one person vote no out of a million people? Better not do it then!
Whatever you do there are bound to be objections from someone else. If everyone thinks like this bitch nothing will ever happen in the world.
That line is so fucking stupid it makes me irritated urgh...

Man, Japanese logic does not make any fuckin' sense. Nor does it make sense how manga always portray that nonsense logic as infallible only to have it be crushed half a dozen chapters later. These are the sort of situations where subverted expectations are welcome, actually have a character with a brain go "that's fucking stupid, here's why" and watch everyone's brain short circuit. You see this shit all the time on Youtube, reddit, whatever, when some super parent or some other stereotype appears and a person with an actual brain responds and said lunatic implodes and leaves huffing and puffing.

It's Japan. Their culture is different and it is stuck in their head. So many unwritten rules you are supposed to follow even if it doesn't make sense. It looks like it gets better but it still isn't enough yet. It is understandable why it is how it is being in a city with so many people, it is bound to happen way more rules than it should be. Aside that ,if those kids get hunted publicly it would rather be a problem of the Society than the kids. Those were no "problematical" pose and even the elderly/adults did stuff, that the children are doing now. This woman isn't logical, she's stuck in the rules mindset, which doesn't give her any room for negotiation. Her pride doesn't let her, best would be to attack her pride, which Yautja mentioned. Her logic is flawed and represents only one perspective, the adults, better yet, the old mindset.
