Well that's good. I would prefer if you guys just hold stuff off for later. The quality fluctuations aren't fun. You always have to reassess if the stuff you are reading has been checked or not. Just prepare and let it be quality checked and then put it out there once it truely is finished.

I get it, initially it worked for you guys without any QC and all. But if you want to pull it off seriously, people start to expect some level of quality. SURE This is high expectations for something that I get for free, and thanks for that, but it also makes it less enjoyable if they aren't met.

@YerRob

Compared to what their prior work was, it was not too good. I also noticed the huge spike in quality after the early chapters of course, but that doesn't explain a drop in quality.

@JustAnUsername ye just complain on discord or apply for QC, I did my best TS-ing and QC-ing stuff.
If you could point out bad shit on the chapter, it would help us rather than vague "chapter bad", especially since we'll redo early chapter once we catched up with the raw.

this is what we called privileged dickheads
they acknowledge that they have privileged and are in the wrong for asking for more
but they still do it

Are the NPCs/people dumb in that world? Basic medicinal salves are worthy enough of a recipe to threaten someone...?

My grandma and family make salves and herbal medicines...

So I gather that Al and CO live their lives request to request not because they don't know how to save/are dumb, but because they don't want to be targeted by thieves?

How about me not having the free time to help?
They provided their work on this site, therefore they are not immune to critique on this site. I have no obligation to offer my time to help them raise the quality. And certainly if I could, I would. But that is neither my field of expertise, nor do I care to use my time with it, for it is not my passion and I got other things to do.

Might be a dickish statement, but so is to impose on me, to fix someone elses work that I don't care much for. That's equal to me going to an architect and offering him improvements for his buildings. It is not my job, and neither my hobby. Pay me twice my rate and I might consider.

Sorry, I don't have the time to assist. Maybe once I am in a more free time position and got little other things to do. I left my suggestions and critique, and I might help at some point. But I won't be engaging over every chapter to explain my critique.

@Emanon_qp capitalism, ho!
I assumed its very expensive because no one shared the recipe publicly and not anyone are dedicating their life studying plants and medicine. Because Yajin Manga Universe is pretty logical, one can assumed that "medicine" is the same as real world. Correct doses makes them cures stuff, not sure what "stuff" are, but it cures stuff. But, wrong dose could results in poisoning.

as for day to day spending, I think they're just that kind of people. they're notable party in that town, so I'm very sure they could handle some bandits.

@JustAnUsername yeah its fine, you can complain on anything for free over the internet. It's just better if you have good reason on which part is shit so whoever person in charge can do it better in the future, instead of being minor Karen.

I usually think people are too willing to praise translations simply because they're "better than nothing", and the argument that you can't criticize something you got for free is also not one I agree with.

But I'm not really seeing anything to complain about with the last few chapters. Image resolution and quality is good, almost no typos or grammatical errors and typesetting is solid.

Are the pages broken or something? It seems inconsistent and jumps from one page to another randomly

I like how the author doesn't neglect continuity - when the MC got reminded of the "tying up arms and legs" he went into reflection mode.

@Desuka idk, don't you think sniping is kind of a lose-lose? The scans get demotivated and might drop the manga out of frustration, and the sniper who might've only been intending on doing one chapter will be burdened with continuing on(assuming it's a sole person) if they want to see the continuation of the manga.

i wouldnt expect them to ask to not get sniped if they were planning on dropping the manga, and as a sniper i'd rather join them if i had the skill set and resources to work on this manga.

If it's a different scan altogether who snipes this one, I guess whoever publishes first will be the one most read, but I am unsure since some people want to keep some sort of consistency stylewise. Quality will win out at the end, I believe, once the scans catch up with the manga. Although I must admit I myself don't particularly pay attention to which translation I am reading, most of the time. If there is one who always publishes their translation earlier, I'd probably read that one tbh, but a re-read I'd probably read whichever had the highest quality. And if the manga is finished I'd also read the one with the highest quality.

i think the further this manga lasts the more of these dynamics we'll see at play, sniping seems so stressful, and there's so little reward, if any.
Agreed. Sniping rarely, if ever helps anybody in the long run.
