you know, the earlier chapters with the shitty translation and this uh... unique artstyle dissuaded me from the lore. Now that I can actually understand the words and the pace is a little slower, this manga is actually pretty solid. It's rare to see isekais take the weight of a death seriously. Most people aren't murder-hobos OR saints.
He's the embodiment of an average human, mentally-wise. We as species aren't inherently evil or inherently good. We are gray. This should be a given, but I'm not saying there aren't good humans or bad humans, I'm just saying that most people aren't that good or that evil. And ofc, even the mostly good people carry a bit of evil and vice-versa. As horrible and disgusting as even saying this is, even Hitler brought good to the evil - but then again, we should focus on the evil he did, as to warn people to not fall for the lies of politicians and whatnot. Anyway, I got distracted. I think this manga incorporates the modern human really well, and it recognizes that the MC is considered to be "wild", which explains why he could adapt rather easily to living in a less developed world, but still suffers from killing other people. Solid 8/10 so far.
