Yeah, so my bet is that the Dragonfish is what made him snap. It probably enhances their urges or something. I'm pretty sure it wasn't Puppy's influence, instead she was the one stopping him and even she thought he was being strange.

There are lots of ways to transliterate "おかしい", but I settled on 'strange' because in this case it's a bit more non-specific compared to other possible translations.
Based on the panel order, Puppy could also be referring to the Dragonfish, as in there is something odd about the meat that caused Yajin to go off his nut. We won't really know till the next episode.

I know a lot of people are blaming the contract, but I'm instead wondering if eating the dragon fish at high levels makes you aggressive/crazy. That would explain why it has only affected Yajin and the uncle, and might also explain why the new leader was going to kill Yajin, since he has also leveled up, so the fish started to get to him too.

After all, if it were the contract, why would Puppy explicitly tell him to stop and say he's acting weird (or that the fish was weird, the Japanese is apparently ambiguous)
