This is cute. Not great art, not great plot, not great character development...but it's still fun.
It's always fun to see genuinely nice characters show up in manga. Usually, there's at least one edgelord, bastard, grump, or contrarian sonuvabitch somewhere to bring the mood down, but seeing the MC being a genuinely gentle person who expects nothing from anyone but who pushes himself to help others because he knows no other way to be is...well, not unique, but it rarely carries such a degree of sincerity. Usually, that sort of characterization results in a soulless, smiling automaton who struggles only superficially and who powerlevels themselves into godhood. Comagirl Whatsername is pretty bland, but not in an offensive way, just a generic manga good-girl. I'm really interested in the 'now-she's-young' landlady, and that was something of a surprise - she already has more backstory than Comagirl. Mu might be interesting later, but for now, she's just 'adorable urchin #1'.
It really is unusual for me to be enjoying something so obviously light on substance, but again - it's the force of sincerity that is conveyed that is carrying a lot of that load.
It ain't a great contribution to artistic culture, but it's a lot of fun anyway. Call it a 6.5/10, but I still like it.
