Wait. I thought it was a mistranslation or something when they first said it but... WTF, blueberry trees? Mulberry trees??
Seconded. They're obviously intelligent and can listen to instructions, she's counting on that for the wolf not biting off her arm, she does not need to play as a vet force-feeding animals, what da heck, that poor wolf XD
While Mulberries can become trees (or at least very tree-like) on their own... Yeah, blueberries are absolutely just bushes and that's one of the things I would nitpick. XD
Yeah, my suspension of disbelief was completely ruined by the blueberry trees. Even moreso than the existence of magic
Having picked so, so many blueberries at home and even a commercial farm, 'tis a bit of an irritation when a cultivation story has such an obvious miss
Maybe in the original they're giant bushes and it's more on the artist for screwing up the portrayal?
Hey look slavery! That's another done on our bingo card for tropes (They could just be captives, but no one takes children unless they plan to make them do some work or sell them to do some work)
