Of course she didn't, she probably thought that you'd accepted a "best two out of three" deal. Because, I know I would've thought the same thing. Not to mention that you hadn't helped at all with finding a place, so you may as well help with the unpacking. So imo you shouldn't really be complaining Kase.

With that said, I'm just glad that they can finally move in together, and I won't have to go into stasis.

Holy shit, this arc was so bad. Created a dumb conflict, dragged it on for so long to end it with a boring conclusion.
The thing is, if the roommate had won, it would also be bad as we would enter another bad arc.
This just feels like such waste of time.
WHAT WAS THE POINT? Unless they use the events that happened, such as Kase betting her moving with the gf in a race ( 💀💀💀) to work their relationship's flaws, i don't think there was any.

I wonder whether the underlying issues will be addressed further than just “That’s just how rough Kase-san’s social life is”.

Perhaps through headphones Kase was listening to ”Eye of the Tiger”. Because being ”back on the street” might not have been too implausible, if Kase had lost and Yamada had been unable to shoulder all the rent.
