oh my godddd. oh great chapter. i'm so glad we got a little more of iida's story. i think it's very heartwarming that honoka surprises him by the kindness of her interpretation. i get the sense that this isn't the last time we'll see this guy iida looks up to (that seems to be where he's headed to me), but the fact his words impacted iida so much and he still retains such admiration for him sets up such an interesting relationship. it makes his thoughts on the last chapter's master-and-copier take on an even more bittersweet tinge. time and time again i am so amazed and grateful for how the author handles relating the presence of these hugely distant pieces of history to the daily life they're embedded in. the kofun could be a gimmick, but it is instead a vehicle, and by connecting the character's experiences and interpretations of these places and their histories to their own lives, they make the kofun come alive in such a sweet, inspiring way. it is truly one of my favourite parts of this story. great chapter for iida and for the kofun... and also ME! i can't believe she called him ryosuke. she thought of him as our kani ryosuke so tenderly and then she called him by his first name umprompted! and don't think i missed him listening on honoka and iida's little talk. i know what you're thinking man but she's gonna call you ryosuke in the next ten pages. u just hold on for me brother.
in conclusion: all i do is win. thanks for translating!!!!
