Hard to see how an editor would be convinced, especially if it’s the mangakas first attempt. Story is generic and art looks relatively unpolished.

Mangakas usually don’t succeed on their first pitch.

Even if it’s serialised it would be vulnerable to all the usual tropes from editor meddling. Even the best ones that are new have this problem.

Editor meddling would be an improvement.. don’t let author cook
