Hmm... I'm a little doubtful about that shop. Having animals in a store is no good... people have allergies and bring in a cat to live in the shop? Hmm... I'm allergic to cats....

Okay, kind of a different comment. A more technical one....

Is page 7 flipped from the raw? I was just kinda thrown off that, in a sense, the last two panels read left to right instead of right to left. Very random, but something that very specifically took me out of the moment of this chapter.

But, great chapter nonetheless. I want to see more of Younger Anjou.

And, 25 years later, my mom still gets upset thinking of her last cat dying. Sticks with you a long time, I guess. 😔

What the heck, it's supposed to be stupid gyaru manga, but oh wait there's something in my eye.

@JagdPanther
But it is not? He sits down on the rightmost top panel, as it should be. The cat just blinks, that's all. ...Or wait. I'm not sure. Production mistake? Now the scene makes more sense if it closed its eyes instead of blinkling.

@N0Mi0 My stance is that the next page doesn't make sense if the cat merely blinks. The closed eyes, to me, signal the cat has died.

Minor thing in the grand scheme of it all; just kinda threw me off.

Cats blink at you as a sign of trust or affection.

If Masamune then closed her eyes forever after that, its possible that she was saying goodbye.

@TurboVirgin-Chan , @WhiteEkans i've gone through several over the years because the family loves dogs (only two died of an accident, the rest just old age) it never really gets easier, it always hurts and you break down into tears, i think part of it comes from the reminder that everything dies and you'll one day have to watch that happen to other loved ones. none of us like to be reminded of it. for what it's worth though, i've found they always live on in your memories, and clown me if you want but i like to believe at least there's somewhere we all go after death, and i like to think we'll be reunited again, dogs and cats too.

@sheepdoge Several years ago My russian blue, Shadow, was killed by a speeding truck inside an apartment complex. This year in April during the lockdown My girlfriend and I adopted a 1 day old cat that looked just like him. Acts like him too on a good day. It was a girl though but we named her Echo, since we rationalized that Shadow came back to us as a sassy orphaned girl Russian blue maine coon mix.

It's silly but it helped ease the grief for me and my girl, especially since she had the same belief you do about reuniting with our loved ones.

Man... this one really got me.
I'm lucky enough that I haven't lost anyone dear to me yet but the idea of that happening one day really scares me, even if it's just my cat or dog, they are important to me.
You're a cool dude Seto, I'm sure Anjou already knows that tho
