Hello, translator here (I also clean and typeset this series). I intended on only answering direct questions, but I feel like I need to clarify some stuff to avoid misinformation.
Why do you guys only release when you get sniped?
This is the second time we've been sniped. The first time was two groups at once, though. In both cases, something beyond my personal control was delaying release. The sudden increase in release frequency last time was me doing all-nighters and losing sleep trying to catch up to the snipers. I'm gonna have to do this again.
Why don't you just work on the next chapters?
The translations provided by the snipers are incorrect. I want the readers to have an accurate and competent translation.
You guys shitposted when you sniped Hatigarm and caused several groups to pull chapters from Mangadex, right?
Yep. Before I came onto this project, three staff members at Facepalm worked together to rapidly release a few chapters and snipe Hatigarm. I came on later to assist with translation because I was faster. While I personally was not involved in the shitposting, I did think it was funny.
Me and the other staff member who currently work on Anjou-san stand behind the message that scanlators should not expect donations or to be paid for their hobby. We're both not that interested in the "salt mining" stuff that went on before.
Why are you guys so slow?
We've had several very large delays while working on this manga. Reasons for the delays have been talked about in comments on Mangadex and Reddit, but all I can say is none of them are because of me personally. In order to get chapters out quickly, I've personally taken over cleaning, typesetting, and minor redraws. This is how we released 4 chapters within a month. (From chapters 53 to 56.)
What caused the most recent delay?
Scanning. Followed by redraws once I finished cleaning and a majority of the typesetting.
Will scanning cause another delay?
No. I will personally scan this series if I have to.
. . . . . .
Thanks for reading. If you have any further questions, please direct them to me directly or through our Discord.
