Why are they introducing another character to knock him around before properly establishing his dynamic with Kobachi?
Romance can't strive without love struggle. I haven't seen a romance manga without a love rival. I think introducing the third party early on is a rather good move. It feels abrupt when they pop up mid-way, like where tf were they all along?

I was actually pleasantly surprised that they managed to have a decent exchange.
It wasn't just the MC one-sidedly declaring he will manage her life and make her succeed. The FMC rightfully and assertively said that would be embarrassing/humiliating and she'll try to manage it on her own.

I love that attitude! She's not just a damsel doll that the MC has to protect and push to the finish line to stroke his ego and boost his self-confidence.
I am so so so fucking happy just because of that one interaction.

Here's to hoping this actually becomes a really good series 🤞

Sometimes people just want to help. It’s not always out of selfishness

You seem to be missing the point. I am not against people wanting to help others. In fact, that is a lovely thing.

The MC just straight up declares "I will manage your life" without even asking or consulting with the person in question. That is wrong and he rightfully gets shot down for it. You offer to help, you don't force your "help" down others' throats. That is what I am pointing out.

It’s because you mentioned stroking his ego. I agree with the rest

So fyi, what she's describing is classic untreated ADHD, or possibly AuDHD (Autism + ADHD).

While everyone struggles to do things they don't want to do, having this much trouble with it can be a sign that your brain isn't properly regulating your dopamine output. Basically most people get a small boost of dopamine when they make progress or accomplish tasks, even ones they don't want to do. People with ADHD don't get that, which makes it difficult to start and complete even basic daily tasks sometimes.

Also her focus time is literally textbook ADHD hyperfocus, right down to the loss of interospection (ability to notice your body's needs like food, sleep, or hydration) which is incredibly common during hyperfocus.

Source: I'm AuDHD and wasn't diagnosed until my 30s because I was a "gifted" child so no one thought to test me. Turns out most of my talent was being able to hyperfocus on things adults approved of, which then crashed as an adult because I struggled to take care of myself and manage my own schedule as my symptoms worsened.

Also, turns out most of the depression and anxiety I struggled with for years weren't direct symptoms, but rather side effects from the stress my AuDHD caused me.

I thought the same for more or less the same reason. Maybe she is even a 2e.
