No, Hiki is a girl. It is a running gag that Landlord thinks that Hiki is a boy. "Like father, like son" is a bit of localizing on my part because the Japanese was a similar phrase but it was based on a old japanese proverb involving frogs and twisted around a bit. Played around with just keeping the original proverb and TNing it, but felt clunky, especially when we have a lot of English equivalent phrases.
