Being fair, this whole arc is basically a cascade of wake up calls to all the characters, started with Yuna's kiss and confession. Honestly, both Yuna and Kasumi are interesting cases, since their actions, while shitty, are also completely within character. Unironically, they are both two inexperienced dumbasses in matters of love and they both fucked up hard due to that.

most Harem manga are like this tho. They seem to be a male power fantasy, but they're not. It's a female fantasy where they don't have to compete with each other. MMC in harem that arent H rarely actively seek this outcome, if they seek anything romantic at all. For harem romcoms it's better that MMCs don't have any interest in romance at all, just give concrete signs that they indeed have a basis sex-drive for the opposite sex.
yet it is important that the MMC in harem romcoms is never misinterpreted as a "playa", a womanizer or that he "uses" women. All the women in the harem are usually very grateful to the MMC because he helped them in some way and arcs where girls are added to the harem usually involve a situation where the girl is changed somehow by the actions of the MMC for the better, or her situation is improved somehow.
This "change for the better" is what mostly triggers the falling in love. After this change, the girl will enter a new dynamic where she shares her spotlight time with the MMC with ecchi situations that vary in lewdness depending on the manga, but where romantic postulates of exclusivity and open declarations or acts of love (calling eachother "gf/bf", hand holding, kissing, etc) will absolutely declare the ending of the story. No, instead, girls will circulate around the MMC. The more girls are added to the roaster, the less and less of the MMC is there. No personality, no desire, no objective, nothing. Just a blank slate, just a sign of masculinity around which FMCs, much more detailed, much more present, orbit around.
Very perverse stuff.
