After 849 more chapters, a whole university arc and 80 more female characters who could be potential love interests appear the story wraps up in a 3 chapter epilogue where Saotome realizes he actually has no interest in girls sexually but the one beefcake male character we meet around 5 chapters from the end hits all of his buttons but he never realized this because he’s been surrounded by girls only since starting high school - and they get together, move to Vermont and open a bed and breakfast. The main 5 girls in a pit of sorrow realize that they never really needed Saotome because he’s a spineless little shit with no personality and decide that they would be better off just staying together as a 5some. The final chapter is basically a where is everyone else done in the style of an eighties ending vignette where we find out certain crazy facts about all the characters we’ve thankfully left behind.
This basically confirms college arc in case anyone thought it might end at graduation. Fine with me, this particular series has never been about "progress" in the harem anyway. Might as well go for 1000 chapters!
remember, there was a manga kalled, Domestic na Kanojo, whould you want me to remind the hole story in detail?
Unrelated but; even absurder and the funnier thing is there was a scene, that was done in Beastars almost the same, from my researchs it seem to be published around same time:
both in domekano and beastars, mcs (that bitch and Legosi I mean) got attacked and got into coma, both talk to late mother's imagery (or soul or whatever the hell) but say farewell to respective mother and wake up from the coma
Why I wrote all these unrelated things? I don't know, I am almost pissed at this manga, there maybe 3 reasons:
1 - Page 14, bitch you are on your second year in a school with 300+ female students, this is the whole premise, "oh what if i barge in in a group of female friends", where is the at least a ant's leg of a character developement?
2 - Things not getting developed, the whole romance being in a stalemate is not funny, since there is at least 200+ possibility this makes this story even worse than Rent-a-girlfriend (or even at best)
3 - You know the "they said the title" meme, title is Kuzuhana, then where the hell is her?
We already had that with Inukai and she was basically just shelved without explanation.
Whether or not that happens with Ootori is probably going to be based on the same thing: popularity with readers.
I don't believe the author really has a plan in mind for all the characters. I think the story totally bends to the will of fanservice (in the original sense).
