Two unrelated things, even if he fell in love with another female, it wouldn't be Izumi due to their relationship.

There are more reasons than gender not to fall in love with someone, despite what the sexual orientation police might try to tell you.

At some point you have to realize you are straight gay or bi. And this realization happens mostly when you are a teen or at least early 20's . older than that has to be influence or a motive due to displeasure. Anyway I say this because some people want to say its purely natural and disregard turning out a guy or feminization. Like failed men that cannot get a biological woman and turn to a feminine guy.
