Ugh. I hate this chapter and its dialogue so much. I think (one of) the worst type of creating a drama is just like in this chapter, where it's created purely from social standings, and how people "can't" say how they really feel, because of some bullshit reason, such as other person's authority, and public etiquette... -until it escalates somehow, like here when the main character is the one who decides to speak on behalf of Grace, because she's too timid and submissive, and her idiot father is an ignorant asshole, and he remains as so because King is all knowing and is hard to correct his mistakes without consequences, and without at the same time shaming/insulting him...

I think (for my taste at least) the only thing that would've saved this chapter, was if the MC had beaten all the guards easily, and had also made the King look like an idiot somehow.. Ofc it's still possible that something of sorts can happen in the upcoming chapter(s).

@Joonhas: I SLIGHTLY disagree. Grace is timid, sure, but you need to remember she has low self-esteem because of her sister's accomplishments, not just because of the King's authority. The King is not an asshole (so far); he's just putting duty ahead of family which even in the Medieval Ages on our world was normal. The King IS absolute and readers tend to forget that. Zero, being a delinquent, has no respect for authority and marches to the beat of his own drum, so of course courtesy of the court would fly over his head. Beating down the royal guards would not have made any difference and made him more feared, not prove his point.

You no doubt read the future chapters, but Zero's words had an effect on the King so it all worked out in the end.

why does almost every manga have that girl that's bitchy but it's meant to be 'cute' or fine just cuz they're a girl, it's fucking annoying, why is Grace the only decent one. If they wanted a cold character then they should've made her cold and uncaring towards him throughout instead of bipolar and flippy
