God that is pretty disappointed. That is an easy way out. No fight, just Kiku dying. A Juliette and Romeo kind of story. They will probably both die.

Unless they find a magical cure. All the tension is gone. The author LOVES to talk his way out of situations instead of fighting. This story is kinda dragging on.

Strangely enough though, whenever they get sniped they typically post the following day

...thus making it a particularly big target for sniping
1) If you have the time to translate the manga yourself, you could offer to help translate the manga with the team.
2) Have you checked the group's page and seen their priority list? They're busy. They've got another high profile target that they give priority.
And might I add #3 here: They started translating both of these manga BEFORE they got anime adaptations that made them high profile targets for sniping, and have been giving good translations every time.

They've been loyal to the series that they've translated. They deserve a bit of respect, at least.

Are you suggesting there aren't a dozen people lined up who could "help" translate it for them within a week lol? They just have to say the word. Not like it would even be necessary though, as like I said, whenever someone snipes them, they are suddenly capable of releasing it a week earlier.

Then perhaps it might be a good idea to step down from this series and pass it to anyone else, I'm sorry to say. It would be a win-win for everyone involved. The group would be able to focus on their high profile targets they prioritize, and meanwhile the entire English fanbase would not have to wait 7 days after the Spanish fanbase for the chapter at the climax of the entire series. It's just a tad bit silly when a character throws a knife and there's stab sound effect on a white panel, with the preview text at the bottom "find out next time if it hit," and we all had to wait a solid week after the Spanish release to get a release in English.

It's just a suggestion of course, they're free to do what they want.

Ah, so only when it was on the front page of Mangadex and under seasonal lol. Even if that is the case, in present time they are now high profile targets for sniping like you said, and that's just how it is. Unfortunately I don't think snipers are aware of this fact, and even if they were, they might not care.

No. I'm saying that more often than not, the people who snipe the series never even consider helping the people that are already there and could use the help.

And if the OG's don't want to step down, they'll keep on translating. And if others want to translate it when clearly the OG's have been trying to keep up and have been posting regularly still? They want the glory instead.
Unfortunately I don't think snipers are aware of this fact, and even if they were, they might not care.
Snipers might not be aware, but even if they aren't, that doesn't take away from the fact that it's a rude thing to do. It also doesn't take away from people like you excusing their wrong approach. It's a community, so how about these snipers work together with the OG's instead?

All I'm trying to say is that, knowing or not, people that snipe instead of trying to help the people are actively scanlating are jerks, and should re-evaluate why they're scanlating the series if they insist on doing work outside the original team while they're active.

Because they know their help would probably be rejected lol, as like I said, there's no doubt that a dozen people are lined up right now and are willing to help the team translate if they needed it. But they clearly don't, as they always are able to suddenly release chapters quickly after they get sniped.
And if the OG's don't want to step down, they'll keep on translating.
And the entire English fanbase will keep on getting chapters a solid week after the Spanish fanbase, while the OG's apparently prioritize another series according to you lol. Oh well.

I don't think random snipers uploading as "anonymous" want any glory my guy. They just want to know what is happening in the very popular manga that is at the climax of the series, without having to wait an entire week after the Spanish community gets it.

Again, they probably know their help will be refused. If the OG's are that in need of help, they should request volunteers which they'd no doubt instantly get, or just step down and let someone else take over who can focus on YnU as their top priority. As they aren't doing either, everyone just assumes they are set, which I'm led to believe as well as they are able to quickly upload whenever someone snipes them.

Yeah, snipers are rude and bad, but I'm just telling you why it happened in this case.

This is such stupid, middle-school shit. Who the fuck cares.
