We know when a vampire bites a human they love, they possibly die right?

But if that is true, why hasn't Nazuna died yet? Because she has bitten Kou when she was clearly in love with him.

And if Kou would love Nazuna, wouldn't he be her offspring by now? Or is it something genetic that makes Kou unable to become Nazuna-chans offspring and is that why he is a half-vampire now?

I also wouldn't surprised that Kou's friend turns out to be a half-vampire so he can keep living with Kiku.

There wasn't even a semblance of "elitism" in my initial post(other than me using an apparently "big word" that makes me somehow look elitist to you)
Saying "all they do in the other thread is complain, while WE have the introspection" is elitism-- especially when it's literally untrue.

Saying that those in the other thread are low brow enough that they can't even notice that the other translation is "shoddy" (it clearly isn't-- the translations are about the same, the typesetting isn't at all bad, the grammar isn't bad, and the scan quality is good) and they're "just used to eating shit" (direct quote) is both elitism and brand loyalty-- well beyond just thanking the TL for their good work.

Saying that those in the other thread are complainers because they're just reading the manga for the "thighs and fights", is absolutely elitism-- especially when it's clearly untrue.

I'm not alleging that you're "not allowing people to have fun with the other TL"-- that interpretation came out of nowhere real, and you need to stop repeating it. I'm alleging that your representation of the two threads is bafflingly false, and it (along with the reality of the matter) is the product of needless and eyesore-inducing nerd-snobbery.

it's us thanking the TL group on not being frustrated at the possibility that their effort won't be appreciated because someone else released a chapter way faster than them(regardless of how shoddy the snipe is)
Firstly, Tonikaku Scans puts this manga as third on their priority list out of five, so I'm even less inclined to care about "sniping"-- putting aside IRL obligations, a group working on five manga at a time may well be outpaced by some /a/non who only has this manga on their plate, and another /a/non who only has to think about typesetting/proofreading just this manga. That can't be helped-- everyone's doing all the things they want to do with the time they have.

Secondly, none of this should matter-- they should continue doing the work they always have, especially considering that it's their work and they've always been doing their work parallel to the /a/nons. It's only recently that that's become apparent on this specific aggregator site. Appreciation isn't this zero-sum game where you have to fabricate means to tear down others to thank your target.

Thirdly, they have a Discord, presumably filled with people that thank them for their work. They already know their work is appreciated-- thanks doubling as passive-aggressive sniping at the """competition""" is doubly unnecessary.

Lastly:
Sniping is like this weird "issue" that most people(casual readers) tolerate just because all they care about is that they can read the next chapter "faster" but the problem with that is when we get "groups" like comicdom that is just an absolute headache all on it's own.
What happens when the only scanlation group on a work are surreptitious shitposters and there's no means for the "casual" to compare TLs so he can at least consider that something's off?

That's the ultimate reason I don't care about "sniping" as a concept. My command of Japanese is so lacking that I'm at the mercy of other people to translate Japanese works so I can have a chance at reading them. Why should work monopolies be insisted upon? People have different translation methodologies, and there's a possibility that one's translation is more accurate than the other in the same way that a sole translation can fall short of accuracy (supposing they aren't taking the piss at my expense). Then, I can at least consider the actual meaning as being somewhere in the middle of the two translations, or investigate further.

This is my original comment:

[Kinda find it funny that at the very least the other "group"'s TL is the one gathering most of the "complaint"(honestly seeing anyone complain about this arc being "boring" should've probably expected that considering this a slow series to begin with) and we have more introspection in this comment thread.]

Notice how the "elitism" you're fully attaching to my comment is pretty much a tacked on line at the end?

It came out of nowhere because you were the first one to mention that I'm not letting the other people have "fun".

You get "dead" series that nobody wants to even try cleaning up, I again recommend you to check what ComicDom messed up in a LOT of the series they took "hostage".

I'm honestly just tired of this back and forth that shouldn't even exist considering the original comment was literally just me looking at the "positives" of having the other TL post first so as a closure I'll just remind you:

You were the first one to attach this negative denotation in my comment. You were the first one to label people here as having "brand loyalty". So I guess practice what you preach and just "let people enjoy what they want to enjoy" or however you phrased it on your initial reply.

You falsely maligned the other thread as purely complaints, you outright described the complaints as if they were just the product of not understanding the series (and not the product of thinking specifically this arc was boring, as they said), and tried to cast this thread as above the other on account of its participants doing something that clearly wasn't happening.

Everything about your comment is elitist, from start to finish-- it's made massively worse by the fact that it's precisely globally false.

It came out of nowhere because you were the first one to mention that I'm not letting the other people have "fun".
Literally, I said "How hard is it to have fun? The manga's good, yes?" because most everybody up to the point I mentioned it were more occupied with nerd-snobbery, as opposed to anything about the manga chapter. I explained even more clearly what I meant by that after you said your canard the first time. Nothing I've said translates to "you're not letting other people have fun"-- not when you're not forcing a foreign meaning onto clear and direct language.

You get "dead" series that nobody wants to even try cleaning up, I again recommend you to check what ComicDom messed up in a LOT of the series they took "hostage".
How does this not strengthen my point about the uselessness of this "sniping" taboo as a whole?

I'm honestly just tired of this back and forth that shouldn't even exist considering the original comment was literally just me looking at the "positives" of having the other TL post first
Nothing that you represented was true for you to extract the "positive" you did-- and even what you're claiming to have intended doesn't make sense as a positive to claim.

Possibly because Nazuna isn't a "normal" vampire.
That would make sense. At this point, should Nazuna even turn Kou into her offspring? I mean he is a half-vampire and things are running smoothly right now.

Makes me wonder: would it be possible for Nazuna to get pregnant since a human and a vampire made her?

I honestly have a hard time seeing how this manga could end, since every plot point after the Kiku arc will be dealth with. The detective, Kou's friend and Kiku.

I don't see the point if the suddenly making drama of the one year deadline approaching, since Kou is a half-vampire either.

The basis of their bloodsucking ritual is that Kou wants to become a vampire which requires him to fall in love with a vampire that sucks his blood, and Nazuna wants to drink his blood because it tastes good. Nazuna's a weirdo that doesn't have a natural instinct to make offspring, so she's not sucking his blood to breed-- his becoming a vampire will just be a product of continued bloodsucking combined with a naturally deepening relationship.

Ugh if they go that route, that would be kind a letdown. Kou being a vampire without realizing he is one because he already fell in love with her.

Jeezus the more you reply the more it looks like YOU are the elitist one here, I just don't even care anymore what you think of what I said since it's clear to me that you've already painted me as something I'm clearly not. So have fun with whatever delusion you have of my throwaway comment that isn't even getting any traction aside from you making it way overblown than it actually is.

IIRC Nazuna's birth is still technically a mystery right? Kabura mentioned that the first time she saw Nazuna she already looked the way she looks now, we only "know" she was born as a vampire because her weakness is the umbilical cord that "shows" that her only memory as a human is when she was still inside Haru(presumably).

Kou is also a mystery himself, how is it that he's the only one(so far) to be a half-vampire, is it because of how unique Nazuna is? Or does Kou also have some unique background... for all we know author can potentially reveal that Kou is also born as a weird half human since we still have no clue about his dad. At the current point of the series we know more about Mahiru's family than Kou's so author still has a lot of things they can potentially reveal(or just flat out ignore) in the future.

Yeah lol that is true. I guess it could explain why Kou isn't a vampire yet (because Nazuna-chans blood is hybrid.) Knowing the author,I wouldn't be surprised if he ignored all of that. The story became quite complicated without a reason over time. I wish just Nazuna and Kou fooling around in the night lol.

All I cared about, and all I addressed was what you (and others) clearly said, and all that bugs me is the clear snobbery about functional scanlations and what people they draw towards them that was oozing from what was said. Absolutely nothing about "who you are", whatever that is. Emphasizing your comment as throwaway, though, tells me that you post with no intention, which looks worse but does indicate the uselessness of this exchange.

I don't think that's going to be the case. All I was pointing out is that Nazuna isn't deliberately trying to make offspring out of Kou, and she's in it for the blood (or, at least, that's how it started) so there's not really a contemplation about "stopping" before he fully vampirizes-- especially since that end point is directly tied to when he properly learns how to love.

Maybe he already loved Nazuna unsubconsciously? Also the fact that Nazuna never made an offspring before is maybe because she feels bad doing it? Actually when you think about it,Nazuna-chan and Kou are both halfies. Nazuna had a human parent and vampire parent. Nazuna made Kou a halfie, so maybe it is kind of symbolic that she wants to be with someone who is the same as her?
