Gotta say, I'm with everyone else at this point. I can't say I enjoyed the last arc very much. The author had me in the first half, but suddenly decided "actually no she isn't evil" seemingly half way through. Kiku not only destroyed literally countless lives in a selfish pursuit, and then actually groomed a child, but then somehow in an additional fuck you, she effectively kills him too.

oh, and now we go back to this NTR plotline, with this douche who no one likes, even in universe.

I miss the good old days of hanging out with a vampire at night and throwing random business ladies out windows... I don't even know what Call of the Night is trying to be anymore.

As I read this chapter I could feel a smile on my face. I was excited to finally see them move the fuck on from this arc and get back to wholesome Nazuna and Kou having fun running around at night. And then this asshole had to show back up and I could just feel my smile fall from my face. I hope its over in a chapter. Just fucking get this shit over with I swear to god. This arc almost made me drop the manga due it kept dragging on and the amount of flashbacks.
But looking back at it, maybe we should look at it positively: we will never need to see Kiku and Mahiru again.

The manga went from a fun and mysterious relationship between human boy and a female vampire to a typical romantic anime with all the drama.

You know, I never understand why most romance manga need focus on like three relationships to keep the plot going. And those other relationships we don't usually give a crap about (Sakurai and Kazuma from My Senpai is Annoying are an exception).
I didn't give two dimes about Kiku and Mahiru and found it a waste of months reading this arc.
