Hmmm.... going to put this on hold and wait for about 5 chapters before committing.
The main story's ending was really underwhelming and didn't make me look forward to anything from the mangaka.
And this being a side-story means my interest is even lower.

i get this and agree but you couldnt really end the series on the note "yay escapism is good actually"

Im sorry to hear that. Not because I think you're wrong, but my wife and I loved the series and its sad you didn't get to experience the same enjoyment. I do hope you have some series that give you cool vibes and warm fuzzies though

I'm not 100% confident but that opinion is the same for the majority of the readers imo, that last arc was stretched way beyond it's welcome, after that the ending genuinely felt like an axe (And it might've actually been one).
