What a continued crock of shit. We get an epilogue and it doesn't even include any of the main pairing.

This continues to be a massive disappointment of a manga. Such a fumble at the 1 yard line.
What? The main pair story is pretty much done, what did you want? Them kissing or getting married?that would be pretty much out of character for this manga

And there's been a retcon. Halfway through they say vampires and their kin have a parent/child relationship. Here we've got a guy drawing a small mountain of porn of his progenitor, and the other one admitting he still has feelings for his own outright.

Even though the plot is trash and has more holes than swiss cheese, I can't help but love this manga. The characters are so damn charming and memorable. It's a pity they weren't properly explored / developed.

Is that a retcon??
I was pretty sure "parent/child relationship" just referred to how they come to be, and the fact that they cannot safely pair with each other. The story is very explicit that the whole reason a vampire's kin become their kin is typically by falling in love with them, so its in no way like that came out of nowhere.

All in all I can't really complain for everything I got out of this manga. Extremely satisfying character interactions and an enjoyable main pairing. I'm not one of the people who are distinctly upset this didn't get a very explicit "happily ever after pair is together forever without complications" ending, though I would have liked more time than the final chapter gave us to ride that slide down from the big dreading build up of will they, won't they.

Yeah. When we re-visit the guy that got paired off, we're outright told he left, and that things always end up like parent and child. It was a sign that even if they consummate their love, it would fizzle out the moment it was accepted: One of the possible ends to the relationship for our main cast. It was the ultimate ironic twist to the gal's arc: All this work to push through "I want to be friends", to "Well actually I like you", to "Thank you for accepting me", just to end up at "And now I'm leaving. I don't really feel that way anymore." It's been a while, but I don't remember getting the sense they were fighting anything. This whole "Can't bite someone you love" was entirely new BS, pulled out of nowhere.
