that's mentioned at the end of chapter 140, sadly the raws source is unknown, but the TL work is still credited to "YKK Manga Scanlations"

Another one of those rare manga that just stands the test of time. A must read if you haven't, and a re-read anytime. Pure simplicity, with entire chapters at times not using or requiring a single written word to tell the story.

I hope the review doesn't sound like reiteration -- this series is highly acclaimed, after all. I wrote this when I'd finally read through it all and it didn't surprise me that I came to love it. It's seriously a supreme manga, Ashinano-sensei produced an obvious magnum opes. It's smart, it's somber, but it's also happy. It's really just extremely good, in a league of its own.

Just finished reading, and man did those last 10 chapters hit me hard.. especially 135, it was especially lighthearted and emotional for me, seeing the gas station being overtaken by nature, and not seeing ojii san with that big grin of his there, the roads themselves being covered in grass and such.. and Cafe Alpha still standing, ever after so long.. I wonder who was the narrator.

Takahiro & Makki obviously marrying and having a child made me so happy, and it came so out of the blue, much like when Makki came to the Cafe in a car! It caught me by surprise, and I then realized just how much the manga was timeskipping, whether it was a few years or even a decade.. then came the last chapter which followed the usual tone of the manga, and ending it with Kokone welcoming Alpha to their home, I guess she moved out there after all, haha. The extra chapter too! Sae has grown up already, and she’s also a wanderer like Ayase, now I’m wondering what happened to him.. heh, maybe he was the narrator in 135. Sae was going to visit a certain shop she heard about, now I wonder what shop that might be, lol.

This was honestly the best thing I’ve read in weeks, and I enjoyed every single moment of it, I don’t think I’ll ever read anything that will give me the feel this manga did.. I can see why it’s regarded as one of the best Iyashikei out there, that definitely holds true. 10/10.
