if you thread metal like that, then its just normal clothes, not chainmail...not the worst idea we read so far sadly, at least its most of the chest this time. maybe enchantment and skills will full counter most hits as well as overall defense

theres also the case of washing clothes-

Only Charm +5 for that lingerie? it deserves more. I did think for a moment she was just going to be wearing it and the cloak and wonder why she was standing out but she had the sense to put normal clothes on too. Good and bad, I suppose.

"Oh he believed it."

Of course he did. That’s the only reasonable option. I can't believe the author thought of the obvious problem and concluded that it doesn’t matter...

The people who keep commenting about the usefulness of the sword's design or the usefulness of bikini armor just forget what kind of world and story we're in.
Stats are a huge factor.
A sword with higher stats can just cut through enemies, weapons included. An armor can buff your overall defense even in areas that aren't technically protected.
On top of that, the MC is the kind of person who would make a bikini armor instead of a regular armor even if her life was in danger, let alone when she's living in peace and having fun experimenting.
We can still think the author is an idiot for presenting these as good ideas. Stats are still derived from actual physical properties with magic filling in the gaps.

No, metal thread is still itchy. It'd have to be fine on a molecular level to not get bits of hair and skin stuck in it.
It's like the catch-22 of using wire as a decapitation trap. If it's thin enough to cut, it's not going to be strong enough. If it's strong enough, it'll be too thick.
