Those massive walls should protect against the vast majority of beasts. Unless they can fly or climb vertical surfaces, or if the walls are breached.

It's such a bad idea to fight outside the walls. Defenses are there for a reason. But manga has this hard-on for defending the walls from outside. It's worse than how films depict combat as a chaotic free-for-all just about all the time.

Don't bother thinking about 99,9% of isekai's world building, or rather the lack thereof and the gaps in logical coherence of trade, gear, combat, battles and logistic... it's just never going to be consistent or give anyone else besides the OP MC a basic level of competency or functioning brain.
