It's such a bad idea to fight outside the walls. Defenses are there for a reason. But manga has this hard-on for defending the walls from outside. It's worse than how films depict combat as a chaotic free-for-all just about all the time.

Normally when a main character puts on a disguise, it's a just a different look. Either lateral or a slight downgrade. This is the very first time I've ever seen a main character look significantly better in disguise, then how they normally look. The silver hair and eyes make Ren prettier and more feminine. But the hugest upgrade, is the lack of glasses. I can't get over how much better she looks without glasses. It's like a night and day difference.

I hope that Ren neutralizes the merchant with her contract, so that she won't need to wear glasses (as a disguise) anymore. But even if that happens, Ren will probably still wear glasses. The author clearly likes glasses. So we're probably stuck with them. Hopefully, we get to see glasses free, silver haired Ren frequently.

To be fair they were fighting so they can be slavers in Texas when slavery was banned in Mexico so those people were not heroes and got what was coming to them.

Don't forget GoTs had the Unsullied, The Dothraki who are also known for their archery, and the Catapults outside the walls of Winterfell. Winterfell the castle known for its double moat and double walls. All because it looked "cool"
