What the raws talked about was an alternate scenario in which she had not met Yona i.e. if the Yona miracle had not occured, Margurite's territory would have fallen to the locusts leading her family to decline and she would have then been sold to Langheim but that did not happen thanks to Yona

It looks like the manga didnt cover this but, around this time in the Web Novel, it described what would happen if Yona never came to help Margueritte and her family.

Her family falls to ruin and she sells herself to pay for her family's debts to Yona's family and becomes Yona's younger brother Sieg's concubine.

She was in love with him but is never treated as well since she was a concubine here.

Boy's a kind soul. Supposed he marry the noble daughter, he might experienced love and leave a mark in this world with a descendant. But his child will not experience having a father and his wife will be left with years of grief after just a year of happiness with him.

He's 11 years old. The girl is 12. He would have just died as a guest. Marguerite would have been his friend till the bitter end, but only a friend. Perhaps she would have already dreamed of marrying Yona a few years later, but such dreams would have been cut short soon. It's not like the count and his household wouldn't have noticed Yona is terminally ill, before long. Yona obviously is too preoccupied with his few remaining months to imagine married life and all that. It's not like 11 years old boys would spend their days planning such things anyway.

10/10 Chapter, very sad tho in a lot of ways. Peak writing though, don’t get me wrong.

It hurts to see him suffer, but I really don't want to see him cured. I want him to have a positive impact on thousands of lives despite his physical condition. Curing him just feels like it would be a cop out.

Fair enough. Would kinda demerit/devalue the whole reason he even set off on his journey in a way. Or at least…partially?? I mean sure, he can reach and help more people that way, but then it’d fall into redundancy and common tropes regarding entertainment. Obv I don’t mind that, but wouldn’t feel right also in a lot of ways.

I do want a happy ending for him though, helping every place he visits and become the worlds hero & going out loved is cool & all but this time I want him to survive.

No way… does that mean that they’ll figure out that Yona is a part of said family?? Not that he told them his last name since he renounced it, but y’know. Not impossible if that truth somehow makes its way to their ears, lol.
