I'm liking it so far, its still tropey but at least they are writing the characters well within said tropes. I'll be interested to see how long the gag runs for before I grow tired of it if it just relies on said gag for the entire series. (I like FMC not being a pushover too)

I imagine it's because she's so freaking tall. Probably also the brutish nature though. After all, we often see a quite scary side to her, and she's one of the least timid characters I've seen in a while.

She also may have that more asian nose too. Manga art sometimes is poor at translating body/facial features unless it's real pronounce.

Not all asians have the upturned nose but I think percentage wise they have more of it then westerners.

I feel like if you change basic design philosophy to races you may as well make them a new race instead of throwing an old race generic race name down.

i think this makes it only clearer that the author intends to mess with out expectations
