In a perfect world, stories with interesting hooks won't gravitate towards mediocrity. This is not a perfect world.

So far this whole deal with Akari has been tedious; every situation being boring or frustrating to read as soon as human characters become prominent does not inspire confidence in this work's future. I hope it improves soon or we at least get some semblance of catharsis to keep me going.
