From what we've seen so far, he's barely watching, and he can't see anything through anyone that's not in his reincarnation system- this includes the Vida reincarnation system, vampires, and the gods of Lambda.

Could be that he's a Death Mage, just like the Demon King was, or it could be that he just has so much mana, that he can just say "No you," when these fragments try to take him over. Like when you see an adult just put a hand on a little kid's head, to hold them back as they try to attack.

I'm pretty sure he's been able to influence souls. I think that's how Ternecia ended up turning good.

Yeah, he absorbed the blood of the demon king in chapter 57, but it didn't explain how he's able to do it and why it doesn't affect him. The first we learned of the demon king skills was this chapter.

Ch 19 implies he's not part of the Alda faith. But also, reading back, it seems to imply that searching through people's memories takes a lot of time and Rodcorte is also busy with other things. Rather than an all-knowing god, he seems more of a sys admin managing multiple worlds and he doesn't have authority above other gods.

Van is what they call a Guider in that world. Basically, some individuals are so influential that they can buff others just by interacting with them. Notice how Van's allies inexplicably gain new powers from out of nowhere. All the Heroes that were summoned to defeat the Demon King were guiders too. And so is Blue Flame Heinz. But as a side effect of this ability, anyone Van guides will be transferred away from Rodcorte's cycle of reincarnation and into Vida's.

Again, this is mentioned much, much later!

The group worshipping this evil thingy are not the only progenitor vampires. They basically split off from the good vampires because they wanted to use their amazing powers for EVIL and TEH LULZ.
