Long story short Van can destroy souls. The system they have needs Souls to reincarnate after death and even 1-2 missing was noticed right away. That alone is reason enough.
Except that other guy. He wants to fight Van because after becoming a God he realized that job is boring as fuck and now wants to have a round of epic fisticuffs with our MC.

nope. that Rodcorte, the one that gave Amemiya and our MC original blessing (our MC name is Amimiya) by 'mistake' that forced the MC to develop Death Mana and Magic when he first reincarnated in the ultra scifi world before he reincarnated as a dhampir in his current world.

the one that wanted to fight Van is called Hifun, which was a former Hero who has ascended into God-like being but finding its too boring and wanted to fight strong opponents like the Demon king and now Van.

As for the first god? He does this because he's a complete dumbass of the god and doesn't know how to fix his own mistakes.

Well in addition to soul killing (like everyone else mentioned), Van is also stupidly, powerful despite his young age. He already defeated the army of an entire country And can create diseases that would probably exterminate most of humanity before they could do anything about it

On top of that, after the civil war between the gods, all children of Vida (meaning undead and most Demi humans) were declared to be an enemy of the remaining gods who view them as disgusting and unnatural

mc also now has 2 chunks of the demon lord inside him, which could literally turn him into the very monster that almost destroyed the world eons ago.

given all that, they should’ve descended themselves and exterminated him by now but there’s limits on that and they’re all just genuinely afraid of him

Also, Van has Death Magic, a power unseen in Lambda, aside from the Demon King (who also could kill souls) who invaded Lambda. The Alda god faction are pretty much 100% against him because he has far too many traits that overlap with the Demon King.

Alda gods want to restore the state of the world to be the one before the demon king invaded. (There were only thousands lives left at the time. ) Mainly, due to the hero Bellwood's ideal.
Vida wants to rebuild the world by repopulate with mixed race.
They fought and Vida lost. Most of the gods that could be Van allies are either in slumber or hiding.
Also the reincarnation gods and Alda are not from the same world.
Many gods on many worlds use reincarnation gods service. They all hate him being a bastard. His reincarnation system is tgat good tho.

I've read so many isekai and I kept wondering since when the title "Hero" became a job that someone just needs to be a bit OP to have, compared to how we used to view a Hero as a person who helps the masses.

just like Suzuki became "Bellwood" from Bell + Wood, Toyama Kinji became "Farmoun Gold" out of "Distant/Far Mountain + Gold", "Solder" is not really a translation for "Handa Ryouko"'s name because one kanji is different, but Solder in JP is handa, and then there is Hillwillow who was Okayanagi Shinji, with oka = Hill and yanagi = Willow.

Akutsu Haruka and Sakado Keisuke are the only ones who didn't just translated their names to Lamba, instead opting to a slightly different reading from their japanese names.
