I've been wondering for a while regarding the soul system. How do populations grow if souls are needed to reincarnate and are a finite source?
It was never explained. But Rodcorte seemed enthusiastic about population growth, because for him, more souls = more power.
you'll have to explain this with some time-axis divergence between worlds or some of that usual bs to explain how all this happened around 200 years before Van reincarnated, cause even counting all his previous lives it must've been 35 years appart at best
you guys can go back and read chapter 27 and you'll get a bunch of connections between the two chapters.
basically the whole war which was said to be such a big fiasco was instigated by the gods to remove all of Vida's believers, so she couldn't recover from the fighting which means (A) gods won't shatter another god's soul, so they'll resort to other means to incapacitate them (B) if Van starts praying to the goddess and spread her doctrine she should be able to swiftly recover (C) Van is not the "true vampire" as Nuaza the lich priest thought, and we can expect his reincarnation to appear in the future
The events in this chapter happened around 100 000 years ago, or something like that. Even Rodcorte was worried that Lambda is stuck in medieval stasis for too long.
There doesn't seem to be any time trickery involved. Just that the Earth summoned heroes of the past come from, is a different world from the Earth where MC and his classmates came from.
Gods can't shatter anybody's soul. Demon King Guduranis was thought to be the only one who could do it, which is what made him so feared. Rodcorte has demonstrated ability to mess with souls, but always to repair them, not to break them.
Now that Vandalieu broke the spear's soul, all the gods are having Vientnam-style flashbacks to war with the Demon King.
I don't remember what's that about the true vampire. Van is a reincarnation of the person whose body Vida used to create vampires and ghouls, but there are a couple more generations that can be called "true" vampires.
