Wow, Bellmond turned into a real beauty. Maybe that will restore her sense of self-worth. Those soldiers are real pieces of shit for doing that. Of all the stuff Vandy has seen and done, an octowoman drowning surprises him? lol

Thanks for the translation.

Was that supposed to be just such a borderline instant ambush and death or what? Pretty much all the ghosts so far had perfect knowledge of the circumstances of their death.
Last thing she remembers is putting the ring on happy-happy-happy, and would-be boyfriend took the ring of her corpse for future use.
That thing is cursed, or at least some kind of horrible magic item. Ring of Mindless Euphoria or something.

wait what? why eleonora have surgery too? what did he do to her tho? is it just to remove that scars or her back or something?
Her old master would scar all his subordinates, in embarrassing casting couch ways, before turning them into vampires so they would be permanent. In the manga they show the scars on her back, but the wn had the scars on her inner thighs too.

By rereading the chapter... does the ring contain some kind of magic? Like making the Scylla go berserk, sleepy or something?

That guy said he'll be using it again, so I suppose he's luring the Scyllas and taking advantage of the ring?

Just plain old poison.

And yes, Rick finds Scyllas, makes them fall in love with him, gives them a ring, and they die, and they repeat the process. Orbia is not the only one, there are others.

But because hers was recent, and Van just happened to be nearby at the same time, she got found, and now joins the Main Character troupe.

Also, she is not a Ghost like Levia, but a "soul", like how Levia was before becoming a ghost.
As explained, it's a false-flag operation, they are in Sauron, the Duchy from Orbaum Elective Kingdom that was recently taken by Amid (Remember in the first chapters when Van tried to get there, and heard from a "spy" that there was a war on that side, so he went through the forest and met the Ghouls?)

Amid won that war and took the territory, the "resistance" wants to get the territory back.
Sauron is a pro Vida Religion, not because they are super devout, but because Amid is so extreme that they just the exact opposite way.

The scylla are a race of Vida, Amidd being extreme would aim to kill all of them, although they are not doing anything now (They don't have too much control over the region yet).

So in a way, the Resistance is not wrong, if the Scylla's can join them to defeat the Amidd Empire, that would be good for both sides. The reason they do all this desecration is to make it look like the Amidd Empire did it.

but the Scyllas are secluded and refused to cooperate, mostly because they already live in a swamp devil's nest, meaning that, their territories are not very valuable in the first place.
Hence, the False Flag operation is to make them be more proactive.

The guy in this chapter mentions he takes no joy in poisonining her, so I'm guessing that ring's the poison, rather than magic.
