They haven't got to it yet, but this world has a very rich lore/history (with Van finding he had a surprisingly major role in it). Then Rodcorte (the god that reincarnated everyone on that ship) is by far not finished being an idiot, nor is he done with infuriating things. Nor have we seen the last of Heinz's group (the group that caught his mother). Heinz greatly regrets his role and seeks atonement by sheltering a Dampire girl he encounters, but he won't ever be forgiven by Van. Van's goal to fully resurrect his mother won't be forgotten either (though they may not have mentioned this yet).

Surely you haven't forgotten the other reincarnators? They're currently all in "Origin", but do you think they'll all stay there forever?

Besides the coming war and other wars to come, you have exploration, city/nation/empire building, diplomacy, getting involved in other's civil wars, MC becoming a Demon King by integrating pieces of the old Demon King's body thus becoming something of an crazy monstrosity, becoming enemies with the currently ruling gods and joining with their enemies, running a food cart that doubles as missionary work, dealing with the shady criminal underworld largely ran by powerful ancient vampires, lots of misc stuff. But good stuff.

You couldn't have mischaracterized the series better if you had tried to do so on purpose.

@bk3k , to be fair, at this point in the story and no prior knowledge, it does appear to be the standard harem/revenge plot.

@zekkendo - it's a mix of both. Death-attribute charm means ghouls like him and are likely to name him "king". "King" title means they interpret that liking as subordination.

@R-Mod - it's a translator site. It hosts only the novels they are translating. It's quite possible for such a site to host only one novel.

@yumayumachi - ghouls may want some impregnation, because they don't need any revenge, but MC sure does want revenge. Which is why he is diligently training his magic.
