That title page of Yotaka at the end killed the serious mood the chapter had going for it

that's the point, it's a punchline. this series is more of an ecchi comedy than an action thriller, so while it is both, the last page is a reminder which side it favors.

The detective was making a smart move up until the last part.

I dunno, I get the feeling hes going there to recruit her rather than eliminate her. Considering she doesnt seem to have much love for the business at the moment, all he really has to do is dangle a big enough check to get her on his side. Maybe throw in a beer & pack of cigs for good measure.
