There really isn't much point. If it's about page quality, there are high quality scans out there already, including YP.
With so many good manga that go untranslated, TLing one that doesn't lack for scans is just pointless.
I get a lot out of reading different interpretations of the same text, which is why I don’t mind doing something that’s been done plenty. Though for most people that probably doesn’t matter.
For untranslated work, I’m currently adapting the
Osaka Expo. It’s the book celebrating the 10th Anniversary of
Azumanga Daioh, featuring 16 chapters drawn by 16 guest artists. I’ve translated 10 of the 16 chapters thus far using brand-new scans done in a similar style to this chapter of
Yotsuba&! I hope to have the entire book done over the next two months or so. I implore anyone to give it a read, and give feedback as well.
