What is this author cooking? I actually had to go back and make sure I wasn't having a stroke because I was like "Didn't I read this already?" And sure enough, he just retold the same exact story but from a slightly altered perspective. 4 (partial) chapters spent doing that.

Yeah seems thats just how this is gonna be. Have a chapter where the dude makes a dish and this blows their fucking minds. Another chapter where we see the exact same thing from the other person's POV but its barely different because they were together the whole time it doesnt add anything. Next part is gonna tell about how he becomes a super mega samurai that cuts down mountains with his trillion folded sword and someone asks how he became so strong and he is gonna reply "yo japanese food is poppin hand emoji hand emoji"
And we are gonna have repeat with every single characterter and maybe have some intermission chapter inbetween.

For those who haven't read the novel, yes it's always Shuri perspective first then a retelling through the eye of the mercenary impacted by Shuri's actions.

This will be how all the story will proceed. If it annoy you, can skip every second chapter (not part, chapter)

When Shuri said he "slice as if gently stroking the soft parts", I thought that was going to inspire Kuuga to aim for joints and weak spots, since they had said he was fighting using brute strength.

I don't understand how a swordsman who is supposedly as skilled as Kuuga is would be swinging the sword with only his arms; it'd be akin to a boxer only throwing arm punches (if you want to know what that looks like, look up Ronda Rousey's boxing under Edmond Tarverdyan). Just like how boxers learn to throw punches by planting their feet, rotating their hips, turning over they shoulder, etc, I can't help but think a swordsman would have already learned from experience the same things, albeit applied to a sword.

I think that's the point, bones are hard, so use them as leverage or smt.
Granted he kinda should've understood that since we got a segment in MC's version of this chapter when he talked to leader person and he discussed how swordman explains things too technically. Maybe this is a "let your body move to avoid hesitation" kinda deal, but yea, this one's a bit strange for a "how MC helps the other person" arc

Tbf i doubt most of these isekai authors who talk about sword techniques, blacksmithing and magic tools (even tho magic doesn't exist in our world of course), actually did proper research or some kinda system/lore so

that's also how the light novel is apparently according to other comments although i imagine you're supposed to read them like 5 chapters at a time or so, and maybe wait til like this manga adaptation gets like 20 more chapters to read through lol

This style of storytelling reminds me of "my roommate is a cat". maybe because of that, i don't mind it so much. i do find it enjoyable to read multiple POVs though this style makes it feel like the story is moving really slowly.. I'll come back once there's more chapters so i can binge

When we get to the big silent guy's chapter, I'm wondering if his chapter will be visuals only--maybe just narrating actions in text boxes, or if his POV subchapter is going to be the wordiest one yet, with the screen absolutely filled with his verbose internal dialogue.
