I wouldn't say they're uninteresting, because of the change in perspective we've gotten character background, world-building, and history each time.

I forgot to mention earlier that during Shuri's perspective, his narration tends to gloss over certain things in his conversations which influences those he speaks to and when it's from the POV of whoever he's speaking to, they reveal the "minor details" which turn out to be rather important if not game-breaking.

She does seem to conveniently forget that she's a princess, though. She could just order someone else to taste the food, even doing a second taste to savour it like Shuri wanted, rather than suffer through the heat herself. But, I guess that her pride got in the way of all that.
