Sounds to me future historians are doubting MC existence, like some historians today think that Sun Tzu might have been multiple people instead of just one guy, i think every time someone very exceptional exists historians can't conceive of them being real and start doubting the validity of it's existence.

every time someone very exceptional exists historians can't conceive of them being real and start doubting the validity of it's existence.

Reminds me of that American Soldier (whose name I have forgotten) who had accomplished such fantastic feats during WWII, that when they made a movie adaption of his time during the war, they toned everything down, because they felt the audience wouldn't be able to suspend their disbelief enough to believe his actual accomplishments - this was during the time that the dude was still alive, mind you.

only read whats on dex but, i always theorized that they never named him in the endings because he goes back home at some point so his name didnt have the staying power as the ones still around. this one puts that into question though.

I mean, they can keep adding new characters outside the mercenary corp, like they did here with Tebis. And I could see at least Gungrave getting another dish storyline, and maybe a group meal to wrap things up.
